About Me

I moved to the Central Coast when I was 15 years of age and joined Gosford Golf Club.
I played my amateur golf for Gosford Golf Club representing them in both junior and senior pennants and had my handicap down to scratch by age seventeen.

In year twelve I was picked to play in the CHS State junior side playing against all other States and Territories in Australia.

On completion of year twelve I travelled throughout Australia playing Vardon and major
amateur events and turned Professional at the age of 21. I commenced my apprenticeship with Mark Churcher at Gosford Golf Club and won 15 times as a trainee.

In 1997 I took over Tuggerah Driving Range and in 1997 I became assistant pro at Tuggerah Lakes Golf Club. In 2000 I became the owner of the Kincumber Driving Range with my father Kerry.

In 2001 I became the Head Professional at Terrigal Golf Club. I currently own and operate the Bateau Bay Golf Range which has long been thought of as the premiere range on the coast.

The majority of my time now is spent with my passion, teaching. I have been teaching on the Central Coast for over fifteen years and have taught people from all walks of life. I work with the latest swinger computer analysis programs and cater for beginners to elite players with my Golf Academy.

Over the years I have had the privilege of working with and being trained by some of the best in the business. These include:

a.. Dennis Phugh - David Leadbetter's right hand man
b.. Chuck Cook  - coach of the late Payne Stewart
c.. Mike McGetrick - coaches to 12 ladies on the LPGA Tour
d.. Hank Haney - instructor to over 200 touring professionals including Tiger Woods
e.. Steve Bann - one of Australia's most respected and accomplished golf coaches
f.. Gary Edwin - teaching the game since 1961 and is recognised as Australia's most prominent golf coach.

My Golf Academy allows me to share the wealth of knowledge I have accumulated over the years with not only my own endeavours but with working with some of the best people in the golfing industry.
